About CocoaExplained
CocoaExplained is a chocolate information site. It explains how cacao becomes chocolate, what the labels on a bar really mean, and how to taste, buy and bake with chocolate, in plain language.
Who writes it
Every guide is written by Jessu Rignesh Nadar. Chocolate has been a favourite of mine since I was a child, and that love grew up with me. A small square after school, a bar shared with family, a treat to mark a good day: chocolate has always been part of the moments I remember. As an adult I started asking what was really inside the bar, why one tastes so different from another, and where it all begins. CocoaExplained is where I share what I learn, so that anyone who loves chocolate can enjoy it with a little more understanding.
How the guides are made
- Each guide is researched from reliable sources, which are linked at the end of the article.
- Facts are checked before publishing, and guides are updated when new information appears.
- We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every guide is then checked against its sources and edited by a person before it is published, and where useful we take into account honest consumer reviews and tasting feedback.
